World of Warcraft reaches 1.5 million in China

Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft subscriber ranks of the hugely successful massively multiplayer online role-playing game have now swollen to 3.5 million worldwide. The company has more than the citizens of Azeroth to thank--the real peach is the 1.5 million subscribers in China alone. WOW reached that mark a mere month and change after the game launched in the country. It was barely over a month ago that the game, which debuted in North America in November, broke the 2 million subscriber mark.
