F.E.A.R. demo

VU Games has released the demo for F.E.A.R. today. The 662MB single-player demo features an introductory cutscene and part of a mission from the game. Stepping into the shoes of a new recruit in a group of hardened spookbusters known as First Encounter Assault and Reconnaissance (hence the acronym), gamers will use heavy weapons and a limited ability to slow down time (as in Max Payne) to storm a compound held hostage and discover the secret behind some supernatural happenings there.

Developed by Monolith Productions (No One Lives Forever, The Matrix Online), F.E.A.R. is rated M for Mature and will retail for $49.99 when it releases on October 11.
