MotoGP 3 ships to stores

THQ today announced that the latest edition of it critically acclaimed motorcycle racing game, MotoGP 3: Ultimate Racing Technology, is now available for the Xbox and PC. The game is rated E for Everyone and sells for $19.99 on the PC and $39.99 on the Xbox. Ultimate Racing Technology should not be confused 2003's MotoGP for the PlayStation 2, as the two series do not numerically coincide (MotoGP 4 for the PS2 will be released in October).

The game was developed by UK-based Climax, the company that worked on Sudeki and the Xbox version of Delta Force: Black Hawk Down.

MotoGP 3 has two main modes, each one aimed at satisfying different types of gamers and fans of motorcycle racing. Grand Prix Mode is for gearheads who like to handle the throttle and brake with extreme precision. Gamers will race across 17 replications of real-life circuits, including Saschenring and Estoril. The extreme mode is a bit more forgiving and offers more of an arcade racing experience. The 16 tracks in the new mode are both city and country roads, and they all take place near real-life courses.

The multiplayer modes return with support for up to 16-player online racing and an all-new seeding system. Other modes include stunt mode, time trial, and quick race.
